As a freelance travel journalist and Spain expert who has lived in the country for more than five years, I often work with the UK national press on articles about the country. For this project, The Telegraph got in touch about spearheading a whole campaign for the Spanish Tourist Office.
They needed a journalist with in-depth knowledge of Spain's underrepresented regions, who could suggest a content creation strategy and source interview subjects, coordinate photo shoots and conduct interviews in Spanish.
With the theme of slow travel - spending longer, travelling further and digging deeper into the culture of Spain, this was a dream project. I spoke to winemakers, interviewed nature guides and mapped out hiking, biking and driving routes to explore the best of the country.
The result was a content hub filled with interesting features and inspiring trip ideas that helped show Spain in a different light, beyond the beaches to its fascinating interior.
I look forward to contributing more articles to this project as it develops over the coming months. Here you can explore my first interview, with Galician winemaker Iago Garrido, as well as my guide to the mountainous region of Aragon and more slow travel inspiration.
